Artist's Comments

Seriously. Dumbest excuse ever.

If you have such a busy life that you can't take some time to learn how to draw...

1. What are you doing on deviantART?
2. How do you have time to follow a fandom, as many tracers do?
3. Why do you have time to post these traces (and "vectors") that supposedly take you a million hours and oh so much effort to complete?

QUICK!! GO DO ALL OF THOSE IMPORTANT OTHER THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO! GAAAAAAHHH!

Are you against tracing? Join us.

*Looks at club and comments on first page* o.o;; I like your stamp .... But in all truth, if you donot mind me saying, I believe you're going a little over board ..... o.o; I donot like people that only~ trace and never work to get better, but it is a good learning tool .... That's how I learned and now I almost never use even a reference ....... Now, I'm debating if your stamp is worth posting ....... I'm sorry .... I just donot believe all~ tracing is bad ........

This is more aimed at people who do nothing but trace.

I do not think tracing is a very good method of "learning," at least, definitely not on its own.

But this club is more about the chronic tracers, the ones who will never post anything but traced work because it gets them attention. You know, the ones that post traced-over anime screenshots with +100000 Photoshop shiny.

deviantART used to not allow traced work to be posted. Now they do, and we think that it's very disrespectful to the original artists to say, "Your work is popular, so anyone can trace it and call it their own."

LAMEST. EXCUSE. EVER. :|

Yay for this stamp! :D

I know how you feel :3 Some of my friends do it and it bothers the heck out of me xD
Tracing can only take maybe three hours at most xD My average picture takes at least 8 hours.
Bothers me even more when they get more views and more people tell them how great they are xD
