Let's face it- GaiaOnline doesn't have the best rep over here. I don't personally have anything against the site (although I don't frequent as much anymore- I just don't have the time). But a lot of people write it off as some kind of cesspool of weeaboos.

Guess what? Even GaiaOnline does not allow users to get away with the kind of crap that deviantART does.

If you post traced or copied work in Gaia's art gallery, it gets removed, and they are not shy about handing out the bans when people steal art. They have a very strict policy on art theft.

If people posted traced anime screenshots there, it would get removed.

So, the so-called weeaboo cesspool has a more respectable policy on art than dA.

Think deviantART should shape up? Join us.

XD Okay. I used to work at an anime store, and I was one of the Convention Travelers. At AX one year, we had the misfortune of being placed directly across the Gaia booth. The Gaia fans were nice enough, and we got a lot of traffic... but MY GOD, the actual Gaia workers were annoying and full of irritating attention-grabbing antics. We were praying for laryngitis. ._. It was like... the worst of the attention-spammers here, IN PERSON.

The point of the story is - with that particular experience under my belt, the idea of a 'even GAIA doesn't stoop so low!' stamp cracks me up.

HAHAHA I have to admit the mention of gaia made me crack up.

But its true, their Art theft and tracing rules are one of the few rules they harshly enforce.

Yea they're always like that. I've had the misfortune of running into Lanzer himself at a convention, he thinks hes hot shit and damn is he a dick because of it.

Blegh. Yeah, we were never placed near them again, and now I know to avoid them. :/

On the bright side, we were also cattycorner to Peter Beagle. :D
